Prayer Changes Everything

Jesus commanded those who believe in Him to Heal the sick!

There is still divine healing today! That's our belief. That's our experience.

We are a bunch of believers, who got fed up of religion, Jesus brought a Kingdom back not a religion,  sitting week after week in churches not seeing what the Bible promised. Despite praying we saw relatives, friends and neighbours die from their sicknesses and diseases.  So why would Jesus order us to do something that we couldn't?  We  already knew by experience how good God was, it just didn't make any sense . Situations like that according to the Bible should change when we pray but they didn't. Puzzled and frustrated we decided to do something about it and search out truth for ourselves. We also met a whole bunch of other people along the way which felt the same way, aha breakthrough we were not alone or 'barmy'.

Like others before us,  we had been led to an organisation called John G Lake Ministries.  It was started Dr John Lake who had the biggest healing ministry in both South Africa and America.   The ministry had been handed over by Dr Lake's daughter and son-in-law to a man called Curry Blake.   He was also frustrated, like us,  but for a very different reasons. He had lost his 3 year old daughter Erika. who had a haemangioma tumour, on her tongue which was as big as a man's fist and inoperable.   Curry had stood at her graveside and spoke to God and said " Father there was no man for me when I needed it, but if you will teach me about healing I will be that man for others". What we discovered was shocking, most of what the Bible actually said, to our amazement was the opposite to what we had been taught. We had been taught religious traditions which the bible actually says makes the word of God ineffective. We were taught you had to pray and ask God to heal a person, wrong, the Jesus said to the believers to do so, he had already purchased healing by the stripes (whipping) he took before the cross, we are to set them free in His Name.  Big difference, big learning curve never ask God to do something He has told you to do. We are to be doers of the Word not hearers only.
